How do methodological belief and doubt relate to critical thinking?
- Believing is a key element to being empathetic.
- To be empathetic you have to believe in the other person’s feeling whether or not you believe in the situation or experience.
*
Void of judgment but necessary for good judgment.
#
listen to what someone says,
#
suspend your own beliefs about it,
#
take it in,
#
give it a voice within yourself,
#
send it back out. Thus an internal dialogue.
*
Methodological believing suggests hearing someone else.
*
Voice suggests hearing yourself.
*
By answering after empathizing, the other person will feel that they have a voice.
*
Knowing yourself better brings self-empathy.
