Alum and CCT associates Notes

CCT From Allyn Bradford, instructor of 616 and 618
Dear Friends:
I want to thank each one of you for your kindness and attention during my recovery. Your cards, letters, visits and phone calls were very supportive and encouraging as I lay in my hospital bed, not knowing what would happen. During this time Maxine was a great help to me with her many visits.
It’s now been quite a long time since January 22nd, when I stood idly at the foot of the ski slope as I was admiring the view. Then the next thing -- as you know -- I was thrown flat on my back in the snow, with my head spinning, five broken ribs, a broken collar bone and my right shoulder half out if it’s socket. The impact was so great that I did not even see the person who crashed into me, who then went out of sight.
Two mountain guides then got me into an ambulance that took me to the Spaulding Rehab Hospital in Boston. The staff there was superb. I am now building up my strength as an out patient in another Spaulding Rehab Hospital in Cambridge.
However -- surprisingly -- I am now feeling better than I did even before the accident. I plan be on the slopes again next Winter.
Miracles do happen!
With love,
Allyn
