Recruitment to CCT
The CCT Program always values assistance from students, alums, and associates in its goal of admitting 25 new students each year, and retaining them so we maintain sufficient enrollments in the required CCT courses and in a rich range of electives.
What can you do to help?
- Print out and distributePublicity Brochure
- Request brochures to be sent to you about the Program. Post these and make copies for specific people you think might be interested.
- Request recruitment packets and distribute them. (These include the flyers and some bookmarks to distribute.)
- Draw people's attention to the CCT website, which provides updates on CCT course offerings, activities, and lots more.
- Submit leads to the CCT Office for faculty and assistants to follow up.
- Arrange a CCT event at your school or workplace involving mini-workshops by CCT faculty on topics such as Problem-based learning, the Dialogue Process, or Intra- and Inter-personal Dimensions of Fostering Critical Thinking
- Create internship opportunities -- short or long term -- for current CCT students in your workplace or community.
- Join the Reflective Practice Support Group.
- Contribute activities you have developed to the Fieldbook or wiki in development.
- Join the CCT Alum Association, which might take a leading role in promoting the Program
- Make donations to UMass earmarked to CCT
- Use good old word of mouth about CCT to help us reach out and find people who might not know about us.
- Suggest other avenues to extend the impact of CCT beyond its formal courses of study (but be patient if these are not taken up immediately!)
