General Rubric for Comments on Written/Creative Product
Basic requirements:
a. product at or beyond minimum required length
b. includes all parts: product itself, list of Principles and Practices, bibliography
c. if your product is not strictly a piece of writing, then you still include at least a narrative description of the work in writing
Content:
d. appropriately addresses the issues and questions mentioned in the description of the theme
e. shows that you actively challenged your own initial intuitions about the case by seeking readings or other sources that offered alternative or contrasting perspectives (as indicated by both your Product and bibliography)
f. includes Principles and Practices that help to summarize how you are looking at the theme in practical terms -- Principles that show your core beliefs or convictions at this point, and Practices that name concrete steps or actions that show how you could continue to connect your work with real-life directions
g. shows development of thinking over the course of the weeks (e.g. your perspective evolved as you considered the points raised in our class dialogues and through the presentations)
