Mid-program check-ins

At the end of the semester in which students take their fifth course towards the CCT M.A. they are encouraged to submit:
i) evidence of Research and Study Competencies (http://www.cct.umb.edu/competencies.html) that they have been acquiring; and
ii) a Reflective Practice Portfolio, consisting of
a) a self-customized toolbox and set of reminders that students intend to use in their on-going learning and practice embedded in
b) a narrative, which is updated each semester after reflecting on themes and connections across courses (http://www.cct.umb.edu/rpp).
The CCT faculty reviews these items if they are submitted and meets with the students to make recommendations about steps ahead.

The Reflective Practice Portfolio and acquisition of Research and Study Competencies are key components of the Program's efforts to prepare CCT students to complete a capstone synthesis during their final semester (or very soon after) (summarized at http://www.cct.umb.edu/SupportToCompletion.html).
