Former GCE Dean Dick Clark passed away 11 August. Dick battled his illness for months with a combination of courage and humor, and passed away peacefully. Dick will be deeply missed for his collegiality and zest for life as well as for his many contributions to education--at UMass Boston, UMass Amherst, the university system, and across the state. A memorial service was held on Friday, August 14th at 1:00 at the Grace Episcopal Church in downtown Amherst.
Julie Barrett has co-organized the Jade Plant Project show, which is up now through Aug 29th in the Doran Gallery at Massachusetts College of Art. Reception Thursday, Aug 27th, 5-7:30. (
