Collaborative Explorations
http://www.cct.umb.edu/CE
During the spring 2013, the CCT graduate program considered the possibility of hosting
connectivist or c-MOOCs using online course material as a backbone. The end result of this thinking was that CCT decided instead to host an ongoing series of Collaborative Explorations (CEs), which better match the Program's approach to learning, collaboration, and community-building involving alums. See below under CCT Events for upcoming schedules and more background information.
- Benefits
- • stimulating and informing the work and discussions of the students and instructor in the regular course
- • getting the Program recognized and recruiting students to the Program or to register in future courses
- • providing a sense of community among online students
- • serving as a community for alums to get a refresher dose of CCT
CCT Community
Alums of the CCT program and online students are invited to apply to be an Online Contributor/Coach/Connector ("OC") for the fall or spring semester or over the summer (June-August,

The next in the series of CCT's Collaborative Explorations (CEs), an online forum for exploring a scenario or case through problem-based learning and related approaches that support inquiry around an issue that is not well-defined, varying across CCT's broad focus areas of Critical, Creative, and Reflective Practice and Science in a Changing World. A CE involves 4 online sessions spaced one week apart, each lasting for 60-90 minutes. Participants interact live through Google Hangout during the session (voice + video) and then do independent exploring between sessions and share questions and findings through discussion posts online.
Overview and background:

There is no cost to participate, but those wishing to do so are asked to
apply first and commit to attend the sessions.
